Rotaract District Meeting 15/7/10 - Notes from the Meeting

Many thanks to Tony Jordan for this report on the July 2010 meeting of District 1040 Rotaract Groups, held in Leeds:

"What a great night for the family of Rotary with representatives from all 4 district Rotaract clubs of Skipton, Leeds, Cleckheaton and York.

A healthy supportive turnout of Rotarians from the sponsoring Rotary clubs, many Rotaractors, the AG for Leeds Rotary Dave Hastings, the district youth chairman for Rotary Trevor Woodward and the Rotary District Governor Elect Willie Clarke were there to thank Gillian for her year in office in which because of her efforts overall Rotaract membership increased and a new Rotaract club was formed in York.

Incoming District Chairman Mark Santos briefly outlined some of his proposals for further strengthening Rotaract in 1040 and continuing to work closely alongside Rotary and he inherits a stronger, more stable group of Rotaract clubs and a hope to further increase the number of clubs in his year as Chairman "
