We hosted Mr Tony Ward, Alcuin College provost and Senior Lecturer in Engineering Management Dept of Electronics. He gave an excellent workshop on “Activity and time management - what’s it all for?”. We found it very interesting and inspiring! Some great advice and tips on how to think as a Project Manager and how to manage time for both large projects and in general was given.

Thank you Tony so much for coming! It was inspiring!

The York Rotaract Club celebrated it's fifth birthday on February 25th 2015 at its Charter Night Dinner at the Hilton Hotel, York.

Over 30 attended, including representatives from Rotary of York, Rotary of York Ainsty Clubs, and District Rotaract Chair, Rtn Tony Jordan.

Rotaract President Constantin Voll welcomed everyone and introduced Rotary of York President John Lacy, and York Ainsty President Christine True, who both spoke about their enthusiasm for the Rotaract movement and its success in York this year. Tony Jordan also shared his enthusiasm as he has been one of the people who helped to establish York Rotaract at the very beginning.

A lively raffle draw took place, and animated conversation between Rotaractors and their Rotarian guests filled the evening. In total over 100 pounds were raised during this event that Rotaract is planning to donate to Young Minds National Charity.

It was a lovely evening that everybody enjoyed. Thank you all for coming!

On the 23rd October 2012 Rotaract was present at the Annual General Meeting of Safe and Sound Homes (SASH), the local charity we chose to support.

Director Peter Robinson and the rest of the team reviewed last year's results and the next year's programme, highlighting the worrying increase in youth homelessness, the cut in government grants, and other pressing issues.

SASH will have to rely more and more on donations to face the increasing demand for the Nightstop service.

Join the effort to prevent youth homelessness, by volunteering with Rotaract for SASH. We will run fundraiser events and join the Minster Sleepout on the 4th March 2013!

On the 13th of October, York Rotaract was represented in the Rotary International District 1040 Conference in Scarborough.

It was exciting to find people interested in joining us, and notice that there is an interest in the district to form new Rotaract clubs.

Thanks to all supporters of Rotaract, and good luck to those who plan to start new clubs!
